“Healing Should Be Accessible—Not Complicated”

By Erin Vandermore, LCMHC-S

Founder, Mind Circuit

If there’s one truth I’ve learned after 17 years as a therapist, educator, and trauma-informed curriculum designer, it’s this:

Emotional regulation should not be a luxury. Healing should not depend on access, privilege, or perfect circumstances.

Every single human being deserves a way to calm their nervous system in real time—

not next week in therapy,

not after things “settle down,”

not when crisis is over,

but now.

This is why I created the Mind Circuit App and why I spend my life teaching nervous-system healing in schools, communities, and disaster-impacted areas. Our bodies are always communicating—and when we give them micro-moments of safety, everything changes.

🌟 My Mission

To make emotional regulation and trauma recovery accessible to everyone—anytime, anywhere.

No complicated plans.

No clinical jargon.

Just science-backed tools that meet people where they are.

Through Mind Circuit and my work as an author and educator, I help people:

  • Soothe their “Guard Dog Brain” (the part of us that barks when we’re overwhelmed)

  • Reconnect with their bodies

  • Build safety through small, repeatable moments of co-regulation and bilateral stimulation

  • Shift from automatic survival mode into grounded clarity

🌿 My Core Values

1. Accessibility

Healing should feel simple, not intimidating.

You shouldn’t need a degree—or a therapy appointment—to understand your nervous system.

2. Compassion

Every nervous system carries a story.

Every story deserves gentleness.

3. Integrity

I bridge clinical research with real-world tools people can actually use during a meltdown, a meeting, or a midnight spiral.

4. Innovation

Neuroscience + creativity + technology = a new way to heal.

5. Community

No one heals alone.

We heal in classrooms, living rooms, workplaces, and communities.

⚡️ What I’m Building

  • A world where people understand their nervous systems—and feel empowered to shift from threat to safety

  • Trauma-informed schools that use Mind Circuit for SEL, regulation, and resilience

  • Research partnerships exploring the power of bilateral stimulation (BLS) and “micro-healing”

  • A global community of therapists, educators, and everyday humans who “Brain Floss” for clarity and calm

  • Conversations that make mental health feel human, hopeful, and doable

Healing doesn’t start with perfection.

It starts with one micro-moment of safety.

And once safety is felt?

It rewires everything.
